Empowering Youth through e-Government
Are you curious about the attitude of young people in Bulgaria regarding e-Governance in our country?
We have identified the needs, expectations and challenges faced by young people in relation to e-government services in six European countries and share them with you in a full report. The key findings and differences regarding youth engagement with e-governance across EU countries are interesting.
In general, young people in Bulgaria see e-government as a positive tool for modernization and improvement of public services. However, they recognize the challenges and risks associated with its implementation and expect the authorities to work to overcome these problems.
Here are some of the main conclusions in the report on Bulgaria:
- Over 70% of the surveyed young people in our country were able to name at least 3 services that come to mind when they hear the term e-governance
- 74% of young people prefer to have an online connection with government institutions if they need to request a service from them
- Lack of trust in the government and misuse of their data is the main concern of the youth when using e-governance services
- In general, young people in Bulgaria have the lowest experience with e-government services compared to other EU countries
- Despite everything, young people in Bulgaria have the highest % satisfaction with the convenience of the provided electronic services
